Line out not working with headphones plugged in on the front panel.

New Bazzite user, just switched from Windows yesterday
Could anyone help finding out why my speakers that are plugged into the backside port of my motherboard only work if the front panel has no headset/other audio device connected?
Ive switched to Line out when both are plugged in, but then there is no audio in my speakers, if i unplug the headset from the front, then it automatically defaults to Line out, but then works.

I learned from this thread that the behaviour is defined in the firmware: 🛟bazzite-helpAudio Troubleshooting - How to split front/rear audio ports into separate playback devices? It also has a link to a workaround, but it's not easy.
