Custom Colormap with Polytone not rendering... sometimes?
I have a resource pack that uses Polytone to enable custom colormaps for foliage, water, and grass blocks as well as spruce and birch leaves. It does this through the Optifine format. (that is, assets > minecraft > optifine > colormaps. I am not using Optifine itself, just this format) When playing in single player, the LOD chunks recognize the colormaps, and applies them to whatever block it needs to. However, when on a server, the LOD chunks don't recognize the colormaps, and the chunks appear to default to some "fallback green" (as I'm calling it) for all leaves and grass. In fact, all biomes in the LOD chunks share the same green color, be that plains, forest, jungle, etc.
If I delete the DH server data for the server, and start generating the chunks again, they render with the custom color map. However, if I disconnect and reconnect, it goes back to the fallback green. If I generate new chunks without deleting the DH server data, they always generate with the fallback green.
In the shared log, I joined a single player world, took the first attached screenshot, then joined a Hypixel SMP and took the second screenshot.

Issue with Polytone? - Distant Horizons
Getting log spammed often leading to hilariously large .log files (like 12gb). Completely crashes Prism and causes massive stutters basically forces me to alt-f4 the game or even sometimes force-restart my pc. Error code is in the text file (log file is too large for discord). Im a resource pack creator and im working on switching from optifine to polytone and so far it works pretty well and actually wasn't expecting the color changes to apply in the LODS as well. that complementary version is quite old
On single player for the LoD colours to update you need to reenter the world
Worst case scenario, server side a server restart should update the colours, though the colour info should be determined client side I think, so idk what is happening
Edit: I just attempted to join the server and THEN a single player world, and now the colormaps don't work in single player either. quitting to the title screen and rejoining does not fix this, but closing the game and relaunching does. Attached I have the same area as the first screenshot, now with the broken colormap. Servers still never use custom colormaps

Another Update: after some experimenting, I found out that the title of this thread is incorrect. The colormap DOES work on servers, however the fall back green occurs when you switch worlds. Loading into one world, then quitting to title and loading another will trigger the issue. The reason it occurs on the server is because before you load into an Hypixel smp world, it puts you in the lobby. the colormap does work in the lobby, but when transferred to the smp it always fails. Still not sure how to fix this, if it even can be fixed.
Third Update: Neat. Today I logged into the Hypixel smp, and its... half working? Certain biomes are working, while others are resorting to the fall back green (flower forest to the left is good, regular forest to the right is still fall back green). Does anybody know what's happening here? Has anyone else experienced this?
