No trigger on x after full movement - x carriage only seems to have problems during homing.
I'm running a v-core 3.1 500. I've made no physical changes and I'm running RatOS v2.1.0-RC 2 (bullseye). I have physical endstops on both X and Y.
When homing X, the carriage moves only a few inches/cm and stops. Homing starts from the center of the extrusion and never makes it to the endstops.
Here's what I've checked/done so far:
I can freely move the carriage by hand. I feel no binding.
I've verified the endstops register when manually actuated.
I've verified that the belts are not getting pinched and are not getting hung up on anything.
I've verified that the grub screws are tight on the motor shafts and they are not loose.
I've verified the cabling, everything is plugged in correctly.
I've made no changes to my printer.cfg
When I can get X to home, everything works just fine. I can print objects without any issues.
What can I check/verify next to resolve this issue?

when it stops, do you hear the motors continuing to spin?
I can see it trying to move but the motors quit pretty quickly. It almost seems like they motors are binding but I cannot find anything that is causing it. I have a print running now but will try to get a video for further review if that's helpful when this has completed.
if the motors don't sound any different, i'd doubl-check the pulleys and that the set screws are tightened onto the flat of the shaft
Here’s a video. You can hear the motors try to engage and then stop.
what it seems like it there isn't enough power during the X homing sequence. Once I get it to home, it moves back and forth no problems from the console.
Oddly enough, after I get X to home once, it usually works for a bit. A few hours or day goes by, it goes back to this state.
I checked the pulleys, the set screws are tight and lined up with the flats of the shaft.
I disassembled the toolhead and separated it from the linear rail carriage. The carriage moves very freely without binding. The rails are clean and free of debris.
My only other thought is that maybe my belts are just too tight. I've loosed them about a half turn each and now I cannot reproduce the issue. Could it have been that? I haven't adjusted those in over a year.
Checked again this morning. I cannot reproduce after the above troubleshooting. 🤷♂️
