minimum would mean differentiation and distance formula. is that how you got am/hm?
SirLancelotDuLac
You could find the equation of a line inclined at tan(theta) passing through center, Find the req. points and hence area of triangle This is then a trigo/maxima-minima problem. Elsewise AM-HM is the best way for this imo. (Gives answer quickly)

SirLancelotDuLac
Toh I mean, ye...try to use am-hm in these type of questions from now on I meant. (In a sense, upgrade your arsenal of mathematical tools or smth)
