Selecting "Beta Unstable" channel for Project Zomboid

When trying to install Project Zomboid through Heroic, it will only install the default version. However, if I want to play the "Beta Unstable" version of the game, I'd either have to manually install the game or install the Windows version, where I can select the "Unstable" channel. Is support for this planned? Thank you in advance.
