[Solved]: Tiered Cache is broken
After today, my Cloudflare cache has been reduced almost completely.
I can see no discussions about it other that some other have the same issue on the Cloudflare discussions forum.
I see no issues reported on Cloudflare Status about it either, what's going on?

not my thread but was invited here from elsewhere
On a file where thousands have accessed is very mixed results, issue started about 18 hours ago
Has cache:
Does not have cache
Both files have been accessed worldwide
been trying to troubleshoot this for countless hours now but it has to be cf issue
20 files > no cache
21st file > cached hit
20 more files after > no cache
seems like everyone have it at the exact same time when reading the discussions
Sorry guys I was working on addressing the issue by adding our own servers into a round robin to help with the cache problem
Investigating - Free, Pro, and Biz Customers with Bandwidth Alliance origins are experiencing Tiered Cache degradation where Tiered Cache is not engaging as expected. This results in higher cache misses and more requests to the origin. Aug 20, 2025 - 19:40 UTCI saw this post, thank you! are you able to give us a url to test with
this one returns a 403
ideally we have something that doesn't block us

Apologise for jumping in but do you need any more tests?
We don't experience as big of a issue as others as we aren't too heavy on caching, but even we has noticed a weird cache spike starting last night
As you can see it's always about the same served by origin, but starting last night it's suddenly up by 40%
I just noticed our bandwidth usage from Hetzner was suddenly (since last night) a lot higher so had to check and found these discussions

If I can ask, I know it might be secretive but I'm just curious, what happened?
