Getting embroidered pants hemmed
Hey gang, I’ve been meaning to get these pants shortened a little bit was wondering if the embroidery will be a problem for the tailor? The duck is pretty close to the cuff and I don’t know if that would make a problem for the tailor

How much are you planning to have them shortened by?

I wanted them taken in to basically right where that seam is, cutting through the middle of the duck
Am I gonna have to avoid the duck entirely?
I don't think it should be a problem, as long as you're OK with losing the duck

but im asking like, do i need to take out the whole duck, or can the duck be sliced through the middle leaving me with half a duck

Are you going for a raw hem? Otherwise the duck would be folded over right?
no not a raw hem, and i dont know what you mean by folded over, i havent had much stuff done at at the tailors before

When the trousers are hemmed there’ll be material folded inside. That’s what the cuff is.
