Does anyone have an example circuit for "passively" monitoring a float/bilge switch with one of the digital inputs on a HALMET? I want to monitor my bilge pumps/float switches, but I can't get my hand around how to do it other than putting the digital input on the HALMET in series with the float switch/bilge pump.

Did you see this post? https://discord.com/channels/1170433917761892493/1352349509564498000 You could do the same using the HALMET

No, hadn't seen that. Thanks. So it looks like that's just a couple of resistors? How do I wire it to the signal of the bilge pump?

You’re connecting to the power side of the switch to measure voltage to know it’s powered, and connecting to the other side to measure voltage to know when it switches on using voltage dividers

sorry, don't understand the two connections. You mentioned this in the previous post: 3.3V | [10kΩ] | +----> GPIO7 (ESP32-C3) | [1kΩ] | [ Switch ] <-- connected to bilge pump signal | GND I see only one connection here - signal. so you're saying that signal line is spliced into the + line of the switch? i'm trying to visualize that as a circuit diagram and can't work it out yet
