trying to run Alan Wake 2..
Can you kindly help. I had to reinstall my OS and I am now getting this error message
"Your GPU does not support all the required features. To continue, a GPU with the following additional features is required:
- Shader Model 6.5"
Running Ubuntu Heroic version 2.18.1

Hi! I don’t get the option of the log files. I have the box ticked in advanced settings. The game attempts to open a window, and only then do I get the above error message. I don’t get the error log option. Best chris

Thanks for your help buddy. I get this error message, but sadly I can't seem to get any log info. As the game attempts to load, the window starts to open, then I get hit with this error message, and Heroic makes no acknowledgement that I tried to run the game... "Your GPU does not support all the required features. To continue, a GPU with the following additional features is required:

Again, log is needed for that.
There is no way Heroic is not generating log.

This computer is a classic! I still watch laserdiscs, so relatively this is bleeding edge technology. That and my 3DO 🙂
is there a "not too expensive" graphics card I could replace it with, without having a buy a whole new PC?
what is the graphics card sweet spot between price and performance?

@Allora @"Leopard" after a quick look on reddit, I have just ordered a second hand AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT BLACK Gaming 12GB GDDR6 Grafikkarte (RX-67XTYPBDP). I only hope it can play Slay the Spire flawlessly 🙂

oh great! thanks to reddit for the good tip. About 120 USD delivered. Hopefully it will make a huge difference. I usually play tabletop games, but since I installed Ubuntu rather than Windows, my computer seems a bit more interesting again. I still can't paint tiny plastic men though

I am not a big PC gamer, but it is great to at least be able to run games... as a general statement, the state of modern video games is not something I tend to enjoy, but there are loads of exceptions, like tactical breach wizards
sadly as soon as big money came into video games, the whole thing seems to have changed
