GTA∨ cannot be started, error 7002.1.No compatible sound playback device detected
I used the Heroic launcher on SteamOS and downloaded both the Legacy Edition and the Enhanced Edition from the Epic Marketplace, but both displayed the same error. However, Red Dead Redemption 2, downloaded in Steam Game Mode, ran fine.
I previously reported that the launcher was unable to download the anti-cheat JSON from GitHub due to network or other issues, resulting in the inability to launch any games.
I later searched for solutions to similar issues and tried changing environment variables, but the error 7002.01 only occurred when I tried "Go to Purchase."
The following is the log

try deleting this folder from with your file explorer
/home/deck/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Grand Theft Auto V
(do NOT change the prefix configuration in heroic itself), so it gets recreated
it says the epic exe is missing, not sure why it's not thererising-crimsonOP•2w ago
I did that and the error persists, the situation has not changed

I've never seen that error with missing audio device error, maybe you have something misconfigured in your audio settings?
all solutions online talk about reinstalling audio drivers, but that shouldn't be a thing in this case 🤷

Could it be related to my network environment? Heroic can't download many components that can be installed normally. I also tried using a VPN, but it didn't work
If this is true, how do I reinstall the audio driver? I've never used Linux before. I've been having this GTA error for two weeks now. I don't think I've set up the sound card or other system services.
thank you reply
