Cant run any game
its my first time on linux tbh ๐
Freshly installed Bazzite (using the Bazzite Live ISO) in a dual-boot setup on a second drive; planned to use it as my primary OS.
I previously had all my games on an NTFS drive; now it's a Btrfs drive.
I tried to run games from the Bazzite drive, but all games immediately stop without any message; the logs aren't helpful either.
Step tried:
Update anything
Permission check
Reinstall
Change between proton versions
install game on main disk
Proton versions tried/used:
- proton-gd
- proton-experimental
- proton
Games tried:
- Marvel Rivals
- Orwell
Pc-Setup:
Amd RX 6700xt
amd ryzen 5 7600x
2x32gb ram 4800mhz both from crucial
Drives:
Crucial T500 2TB PCIe Gen4 (bazzite)
Crucial SSD BX500 1TB (windows)
WDBlue SN580 (Games)

okayy i found the issue ig?? i'm not sure
i unmouted my second disk and then restarted steam then started orwell now it works
and then i remouted my second disk and now i can start a game of the second disk i'm very confused...

Try using ext4 instead of NTFS or BTRFS. I had the same thing going before.
I believe Ext4 can't be used on Windows however, in case you're using a dual boot system.
i use WinBtrfs on my windows to play the games on my game disk they work
but under bazzite not
when i install an game on bazzites os drive they not start either
Could you try running a game with
PROTON_LOG=1 %command% and post the log here, it's going to be in your home dir named steam-[appid].logSolution
