User leveled up on wrong msg wrong type of message was sent even and the role was assigned to a bot
- Member leveled up
- On level 65 there is no role reward or special message
- They leveled up on slash command which should not give them XP
- A bot/app they used in that command got the role as if it was the bot/app that leveled up.
Crazy timing.
- Banning slash commands from giving xp doesnt work then
- There is potential that this repeats if the timing is right
- I assume the special message was just sent because the app didnt have a leveling role before.

not sure i understood those screenshots
the user ran a carl-bot command, which triggered the level up?
yes
and the bot got the role
assigned by Lurkr
yeah i can see that happening
its a semi-recent change
its because technically the author of the message is the bot, not the user
i made it recognize the user for giving the xp but not for updating the role rewards it seems
I thought there was a specific option before to specifically disable xp gain on slash commands I dont know if I am missremembering
no
it just didnt work ever although it was supposed to as it was documented
anyways this is also why the level up message had the roles on the
roleRewards

I assume the special message was just sent because the app didnt have a leveling role before.
yep
and I assume the option of blocking prefixes there doesnt work on slash commands right
also the ignored prefixes stuff wont work for slash commands either
dang
not sure if we should make it work
I would like it to work that way
probably i'd just add a separate option for whether to allow slash commands to count
or that
the ignored prefixes are being checked on the bots message
as in the content that the bot replied to the command
