iOS notification: Immich 33% (1/3)

I was wondering what this notification means. It seems like it is going down in percentage, this is the third one I got, before this one there was one ~60% and before that I believe ~80%.

That’s the background backup notification. It means that it uploaded 1/3 pending assets to Immich. On iOS the background backup only runs for a few seconds at a time (whatever the OS decides, which is usually a very short amount of time), and I believe for every new “background backup session” the count resets back to 0/x, so the percentage will go down (say on the first run you upload 2/6 assets, that’s 33%, and on the next run it uploads 1/4 assets, that’s 25%). Doesn’t mean it’s losing progress, just shows the progress of that session If you happen to catch it while it’s uploading, you’ll see the count go up (0/6, then 1/6, then 2/6, and so on), until iOS decides that Immich isn’t allowed to run anymore. That’s the notification of the last status on your lock screen

Thanx! The notification could give some more useful text, I thought it was about the processing of my library 🙂
