whats a good free anti cheat that also detects bedrock players well ?
when we can do paid i intend to move to vulcan (tell me if thats a bad idea) but for now im looking for good free anti cheat for Java and Bedrock players

While I personally haven't tried it, I have used the same authors AntiVPN plugin for quite some time, with a lot of success, it also seems to have Bedrock support, and for Java I wouldn't doubt that it would be good: https://modrinth.com/plugin/foxaddition

It also seems to have some good extensions for Discord and the same notification features as Vulcan, hope this helps!
I do recommend you also look around on Modrinth if you have issues as many free plugins are on there :thumbsup:
5 starts on github with 35k downloads on modrinth isnt that promising, havent heard good things about it, 64 favourites at same downloads is eh (these are not definitive at all just something to look at)
vulcan doesnt work with bedrock, it just ignores em

not sure about bedrock, but grim is by far the best free anticheat for java

Themis is pretty decent and it is free. It has support for both Bedrock (GeyserMC) players and Java players. Not sure how up to date it is, I use it on my 1.21.4 server. Not sure if it works on newer versions though since 1.21.5 and up broke quite a few anti-cheat plugins.
Grimac is a really good anti cheat i think it works on bedrock players but if you install it do remove the alerts it will spam ur chat even if they aren't hacking

Best option is to get grim for java and use themis only for bedrock players
grim ac requires java 17+ by the way
