Enter the Gungeon not launching
On Steam Deck desktop mode, The game pops up with this window in the image 10 times and then crashes.
Solution:Jump to solution
Ok so weird little update. I fully uninstalled heroic and also lutris as I had that before already. Now enter the gungeon works and prey does not and gives a invalid name error again

I even tried reinstalling the game and that doesn’t work
This happens on gog games too
I tried manually changing the exe location but that didn’t work. I also tried proton 10-15, 9-27, and 8-32 none of those work either
Is there any other piece of information I can try to get?
after taking another look in the logs, it seems like either dependencies are not accessible or just doesn't exists. Something to do with GameMode library but I have no Idea to fix it
Linux-native GOG games are often designed for older Linux distributions and thus don't work on modern systems anymore. Additionally, some features (save sync, native DOSBox/ScummVM) won't work for Linux-native titles.
If you are experiencing problems with Linux-native games, consider installing the Windows version instead & running it through Wine.

are you saying the issue happens for any game?
maybe try disabling umu in the advanced settings of the game to see if it makes any difference

with umu disabled, there is no visible error but it crashes immediately now. a window does pop up but it's transparent before the crash.

It does seem to be any game, I also tried Prey with epic but that gives the same error

are steam games working fine?
because if steam games work, maybe you can try clearing everything heroic and reinstalling it, maybe something went wrong

you don't need to delete the games, you can import them after reinstalling heroic

steam games work properly on it. I even got a windows game working on it.
I just now reinstalled but it still doesn't work. same issues as before.

I’m currently verifying the integrity of the game files
just now tried playing prey but gives same error, here's the log: https://0x0.st/KH05.log
the log is with umu enabled
I just now tried overcooked 2 and it gets the same error too
Should I make a new thread for these other games and solve this one or should I keep this one unsolved?
I guess I’ll just solve this since there’s no more things to test I guess
