Added full email control to cloudflare for my domain - how / when am I issued the smtp/pop/imap add-
Address. The help pages say once done you're 'given them' but where?

Will they just be eg: pop.mydomain.com and so on?

There are no SMTP/POP/IMAP on Cloudflare.
Cloudflare is not a mailbox provider, but forwarding only.

Am I misunderstanding this
The name servers you're allocated (or using) has nothing directly to do with your email.
Yep, it appears you're mixing multiple different things together here.
those screenshots are talking about the NS you add to the domain registrar (jim.ns.cloudflare.com as an example)
the email service is basically just a forwarder
So I still need to add back my old name servers for email?
No, name servers (e.g. who is the "authoritative" DNS provider for your domain, and email (various DNS record types, such as for example
MX
records) are two different things.
If you continue using the same email provider, as you've been up to this point, you simply copy the email related DNS records in to your Cloudflare set up.They were on there ( cloudflare) but now I can't find them from hostinger anymore
Once that is done ,you change name servers.
Is there a history of the name servers I can find them on
Following that, your DNS is maintained by Cloudflare, but the email stuff is kept as it was before.

I forgot it was handled by titan email now after they switched

Will this do it?
Yes, those were the exact DNS records I just found as well.
Oh great thank you.
How long will it take to propagate / work? I know DNS can take a few days
Adding the
MX
records would allow the inbound email flow towads Titan Email.
Adding the TXT
would authorize Titan Email's outbound email servers to send messages for your domain (i.e. one of a couple of ways with "email authentication").
I would however also recommend you to reach out to Titan Email, to find out if they're able to do DKIM signing on your own domain name, - and if so, then get it enabled, and add the appropriate DNS record(s) for that.
DKIM is another form of email authentication, which will (depending on sender's set up) be able to survive message forwarding, the SPF can't do that.
So proper DKIM with alignment to your own domain is like the superior way for email authentication.
There is no ways to say for sure, - it can go anywhere from instantly to several days.
Your own local ISP could be caching DNS records for a minimum of 2 days, which would make it take a minimum of 2 days for things to propagate.
Another random ISP out there could make that interval 4 days, so it would be a minimum of 4 days.
But you could also see some ISPs that are not caching for that long...Thanks I've got an important email coming but i'mma call them and just have it sent elsewhere

.

Seems I can disable it despite that

Is email routing not a feature though for cloudflare security?
Do I want to delete and disable or unlock and keep?
I went with option 1
Actually maybe I want them? Could use some advice

I think I should have only added the TXT record right?
Didn't read properly had other things going on
https://support.titan.email/hc/en-us/articles/5732547974937-Add-DKIM-record-on-Hostinger-Control-Panel nevermind I read the rest - I should go with full disable and enable dkim on titan?

When I choose @ for root it auto changes to my domain which is obviously the root, just wanna make sure it doesn't HAVE to be @

Ok all looks good. There's a ton of other records Google Admin might have added so I don't know what is safe to delete etc.

Noticing now dkim entry from titan already there
Sweet looks like the changes were immediate I can use titan mail again.

Leave as is or?
Again thanks guys.
Option 1, to delete and disable was the correct one, given that you're looking to use a third party.
No records related to Cloudflare's Email Routing should be added, when you're solely working with third party email providers.
Thanks again all sorted now can mark this as solved :)
From the screenshot here, you do have some leftovers from something.
You wll have to delete one of the "
_dmarc
" records, as it will be invalid to have two.
The "*._domainkey
" one is typically used for locking down domains that aren't used for email.
It won't take effect for "titan2._domainkey
", where there already is a (more specific) DNS record, - however, it will claim that any other DKIM records (e.g. "pizza._domainkey
", "spaghetti._domainkey
", ... et al) have been revoked.
As the more specific "titan2._domainkey
" should win, it shouldn't matter whether you keep the "*._domainkey
" or not.
But since there are bad implementations out there, at some email providers, ... if you end up seeing issues in the future, you can eventually try letting go of the "*._domainkey
", to see if that makes a difference.I was having issues getting mail and checked here again (dunno why I got no notification)
Does that look like I should be able to send abd recieve from atomicrhino.net?
With titan email
It was working fine the other day after talking here
Those are all the records now after I removed some

I updated the text record with one I found, seems it can connect to pop and get mail according to the client but can't send to myself

This is what they are now. Says it can take up to 24hrs to propogate so unless you guys have any other suggestions let me know. I need to access it to update important info from moving house.
What about deleting all the digicert / Let's encrypt entries and just having the three records for titan

Thanks in advance
Something about spf record not proper still

I clicked setup records etc and did that
It's still saying setup an mx record for my root domain which I have?

It said too many attachments so didn't know if they went through
It was working on Monday I got email from paradox@atomicrhino.net in my inbox and I didn't change anything since
Deleted those other 3 it's back to how it should be working

Spf record for your domain is not proper. Could just take time but was almost instant last time. Gotta get back to work will check back later. Thanks in advance.
Does this need to be done?
It was working fine without them
Dkim key not found in client tells me probably
But I can't access that from the phone
hPanel - Hostinger
hPanel is a high availability control panel created and used by Hostinger. Log in and manage your website, email accounts, and WordPress dashboard in one click.

Pain in the ass
Ok I cleared everything and setup the mx and txt records again. When I login to the titan email app I can send mails but still can't receive
Current

These are the current records

These are the current records

I just got an email to my address
But I still can't for some reason get others
Theșe are all correct according to the setup

Any ideas guys?
Add an MX record for your root domain so that mail can reach @atomicrhino.net addresses or set up restrictive SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to prevent email spoofing.
It still says this at the top of the page though
Should I do this? D sorry for the spam I just really need the email to login to places that send a code

I disabled DNSSEC to see if that was it
Your DNSSEC setup will be disabled as soon as we detect that the DS record has been removed from your registra.
But it says this
Going to sleep now will check replies tommorow
Thanks again
Don't know if I should add these too. I wisg there was like an undo / reset option :/

So much confusion

Deleted all records except for these. Will check if it's working tomorrow

, K off to bed will check tommorow. Thanks in advance m
