HP Laptop questions
Hey, so Iβm running a Vanilla Minecraft server off of an HP laptop running Linux. I got the laptop around 2019 and have some questions.
Will keeping my laptop on all night for a few days a week have any long lasting damage? Only on weekends normally but sometimes more.
Does keeping it plugged in past 100% do harm to the battery? I know this used to be an issue with older computers.
Any help appreciated.

1. Possible, I'd turn the screen off to prevent any burned screens just in case. Shouldn't damage anything else.
2. Modern laptops usually don't have this issue. If you are concerned and is comfortable with opening the laptop up, you can disconnect the battery.
Number 1, screen is always off. Itβs always closed, just running the server.
Keeping it plugged in and running 24/7 will degrade the battery faster than normal use
It's not plugged in 24/7. I was just asking if like, keeping it plugged in a couple hours past 100 is that bad. And it's only up all night and all day on weekends
Oh you're probably fine then
