l1 + l2 + l3 = L (constant) dl1/dt + dl3/dt = 0 ( l2 is constant) dl1/dt = v1costheta1 dl3/dt = - ( v3costheta2 + v2 costheta2)

@hardcoreisdead it's mostly right. just that u have to include a +v2costheta1 term in dl1/dt.. u didnt consider the effect of the block moving on the length l1
