emi- lr circuit

The currents through the inductors won't change right? Then what exactly is the heat dissipated? From what I can see the current through the first resistor should increase from I to 2I? And ig direction will also change

after opening decay of current in LR circuit total heat loss = total energy stored in inductors

yems yems yems i should note that down

1/2 * L (2i)^2 + 1/2 * 2L i^2 so 3Li^2 ig isnt that just energy conservation
