Hello!
I'm considering migrating from Google Sheets to TwentyCRM for tracking internal production metrics. I'd like to ask the community how good of an idea this is.
Goal:
To replace Google Sheets with a more reliable and scalable system with a web interface.
Key Requirements:
1. Simple UI for users: End users (up to 20 people) shouldn't require training. Ideally, their work should be limited to filling out simple fields in ready-made forms.
2. Access control: We need to flexibly configure who can see and edit what data.
3. Automation: We need support for webhooks (or an API) for integration with other systems and for the automatic collection of some metrics.
Data Volume:
* Manually filled entities: ~10-50 types, with up to 20 fields each.
* Automatically created entities: ~100-2000 types, with up to 50 fields each.
Questions for the community:
1. Technical feasibility: Can TwentyCRM handle this volume of data and customization? How flexibly can custom entities and fields be created that are not tied to standard ones (Deals, Contacts)?
2. Conceptual fit: How good is the idea of using a CRM system for such tasks? Will I not run into fundamental architectural limitations that are "sharpened" for sales rather than for tracking arbitrary data? Perhaps low-code platforms like Appsmith, Retool, or Budibase are better suited for this?
I would be grateful for any opinions and experiences. Thank you!
