Can't install Alan Wake 2. Other games, even large ones, install fine
It just sits on 0 and never downloads anything. It creates an exe in the folder that is 0 bytes but that's it. It never goes beyond that
It's a large game, 96GB install, but I was able to get Borderlands 3 to start to install and it's 94
Rebooted and logged out/in multiple times. Was able to turn around and install to Windows without an issue.

I have the same issue, with the same game. This is on Nobara, Heroic v2.18.1
install.log is full of errors saying "no token for url"

403 is when the server rejects you. what country are you in? are you using a VPN?

i'm in Poland, no VPN is used
Downloading other games does work. It's just Alan Wake 2 that fails for some reason

nope, Heroic on Windows doesn't work
again, just Alan Wake 2 is failing. Tried "A Short Hike" and "Dead Island 2", they both do download

At my side, on my steamdeck, it seems only broken with freshly buyed Epic games.
For example, i have Elite dangerous since years, install worked Fine (right now tested).
Ride 5 (yesterday) and alan wake remastered (1day before yesterday) Don‘t Download (get stuck at 0% Download).

Epic made a change that now requires signing urls to obtain files for the game
we are working on supporting it

I also freshly purchased AW2 and the DLC and I also cannot download it with Heroic. I tested other games (all bought/claimed free before today) and they downloaded just fine. I do have a Windows dual boot but I would like to play this on Linux. I'm using Fedore 42 KDE

I've worked around this for now by using the official Epic client to download the game, then importing the game files into Heroic

Yeal i know im not helping but Alan wake 2 downled fione for me i had to install the C++ redistributables and enable the epic overlay but no issues. UK

Silly question , but I will check file system is EXT 4?
When the game first got released so quite a while ago now, I alos thinking about it managed to screw it up and several month ago uninstalled and reinstalled meaning i downloaded it again no issues
the log file suggest that permission has been lost to epic you know?
you might try logging in again or clearing the cache i dunno

you can still download it using the official Epic Games Launcher (either installed into Heroic or with Lutris) and then import the game in heroic, that should work

when you press install on epic game
you can press import in the modal
Hello folks, we might have a fix for this (some brief tests show it to be working): https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/legendary/pull/23
To use this version of Legendary in Heroic, do the following:
1. Download the archive for your operating system from here and extract it
2. On Linux/macOS: Mark the extracted binary as being executable (KDE's Dolphin has an option for this in the file properties)
3. On Steam Deck / Flatpak: Move the binary to
~/Games/Heroic/
4. In Heroic, open "Settings" (sidebar) -> "Advanced" and set the path at "Choose an alternative Legendary binary"
After that, just try to install the offending game in Heroic againlike-gold•4w ago
