Silksong RT seems to not function well

Hi, I am playing Silksong (the GOG version) through Heroic launcher. The Sprint function (RT on controller) Seems to toggle instead of just using "hold" to trigger. On KB the function does not work at all. no matter the keybinding. I tried to just run GOG galaxy just on linux but wine did not want to work with it. I had people tell me they solved it by "running it through proton" but i am not sure if they were using Heroic. Some data: Heroic Launcher 2.18.1 (used the Appimage version that just is run as an Executable) Silksong verison: 1.0.28324 Ubuntu Version: 24.04.3 LTS If anything else is needed pls let me know!
Solution:
Afterwards click install again but before proceeding change build from Linux to Windows

Noice It says "native? True" so it is Linux build of the game. $HOME/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight Silksong/AppConfig.ini and changingNativeInput=1 to NativeInput=0 Try this Open your file browser Press Ctrl+H It would show folders starts with dot They are hidden by default

Did this, restarted heroic and it changed it but didn't solved it? Now it sometimes works as intended but also sometimes still has the same issue. It is now maybe 50/50?

Hmm, so Windows build is one you should use. In same directory you just gone in you see save files too right?

Yes, copy paste that default one to somewhere safe Restore points 1 is actual save afaik Then delete game in Heroic

Smol game benefits. Install, run the game once. Create a save. Then head to path that shown in your screenshot above as Wine Prefix In in go to drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight Silksong And copy paste your old saves to there, with paying attention to folder structure After that open game again and see if your previous save shows up after doing these.

There isnt a single sound related thing in this log. Does game itself have some sound device select in settings? If yes, fiddle with it

Crap, I use a Audio interface and that might be the issue. If i run i through my crappy display speakers it works

yes just ctrl+c and ctrl+v it @"Leopard" Input issue seems to be solved. Sound is not obvs. I could work around this by attaching my speakers directly to my screen. But not my preffered option
