Varus, Where Are My Frames
Recently installed Bazzite on an old(ish) HP mini PC (g500?) running an AMD 3400g APU. Very nice. Now let's see Paul Allen's Bazzite install. Oh my god. The peripherals. The tasteful desktop background. Oh my god. The boot order. etc.
Anyway, doing a bit of testing this afternoon and a bit surprised that about a third to a half of my Hades 2 fps have got lost in the wash. On windows 11 (same machine, obviously) Hades 2 will run at a playable 45/50 fps at 1080p, or locked 60 fps if I drop the resolution down to 720p. About what I'd expect, similar to steamdeck, blah blah whatever.
Running the game in Bazzite I'm looking at barely 20fps at 1080p or 40/50 fps at 720. This seems a bit odd. Anybody else experienced something similar? Settings are the same as far as I can tell, system is up to date etc etc. hmmmmmmm.png
