these are non rendered areas btw
Solution
disabling generic object rendering solved it
oh mb
lol
Though that could happen
is it not disabled by default?
At the moment it is enabled by default
nah
but about that infinity ocean, is that available?
id really use that
No unfortunately
Honestly, that's probably a better approach for what the Great Wall of Fog™ aims to do.
Infinite ocean is only available if you're on a server that uses the plugin version of DH
The plugin already doing that? Fancy.
It has been available since the end of July :)
this is why we need plugin and mod to merge 🥺
That no longer makes sense to me. There are many features in the plugin that the mod does not have, and currently cannot have
Hmmm.
I could make infinite ocean as an option, shouldn’t be too difficult.
I’m curious what features the plugin has that the mod couldn’t.
Is it an impossible to add or a limitation I placed upon the mod?
Per-world configs is maybe the biggest one atm
Things it just doens't, but maybe could are:
* Infinite ocean (or any other custom fake chunk)
* Anti-xray / material mappings
The plugin also lets you adjust which events trigger LOD updates, and at what interval
And most recent feature is an optional message to players who don't have DH installed, that maybe they should check it out ;)
That one is disabled by default ofc
Ah the per-world config, my old nemesis.
The event triggering is really nice and I’m a bit jealous of that. Forge/fabric/neo don’t give nearly as much granularity there.
Also I might steal the infinite ocean rendering, it should be pretty simple to add now that there’s a system for unexplored terrain.
It would be way better if infinite ocean was handled client-side, so I don't mind at all
