Bazzite installed on rog ally, how do i resize disk to add windows as a duel boot?
I tried using disks application but it says the disk is read only. It doesnt let me resize.
TWhen dual-booting always try to install Windows first > shrink partition > install Linux. Check out bazzite guides on their documentation site
Tso does that mean i HAVE to wipe and start over? or is it possible to still shrink the partition and add windows?

Ti wasnt initially planning on duel booting, but a game i want to play called skate ended up having kernel level anti cheat, idk if theres a workaround to resize now that i already have bazzite. maybe i need to boot from a live iso to do it?
TI never tried installing Windows after Linux to be honest so I can't tell
TIf you choose to wipe and reinstall don't forget to do the partitioning when installing bazzite
Tnp, i appreciate the info. i only have 3 games installed so i may just wipe reinstall windows, shrink it so windows is only 128 gb and use the rest for bazzite

Tcachy was such a pain to tinker for handheld how i want it. bazzite is just so much easier having tdp already set up etc

: Remember that the Ally has the option of Cloud Recovery from bios to reinstall WindowsTHaven't try CachyOS yet but :bazzite: is a really straighforward and user friendly distro to play on
Tyea im liking it better. yea ill have to see how to do the cloud recovery option. that may be better
TWELP. time to make a new bootable drive for bazzite and see if i can revert back to windows easy lol
Taccording to videos, seems itll take a few hours to download and even restore. I might as well just install from an iso for windows again. thatll be faster lol. i didnt have anything important on it anyway
TYes, cloud recovery usually takes 1-2 hours over a fast wifi connection so beware
TInstalling windows and especially updating it is a pain in the ass
Tso i reinstalled windows, successfully duelbooted bazzite. ran ujust regenerate-grub. Fedora is my first boot option, but it just boots straight into bazzite, doesnt give me a grub loader to choose windows or not. maybe i did something wrong
�does it not find 'Windows Boot Manager' when you run ujust regenerate-grub?
Till double check when i reboot again. im in windows now just getting some stuff set up. im about to try secure boot
