Beacon poke test failed on BEACON_RATOS_CALIBRATE
I am setting up a second VC-4 500 IDEX and getting a Beacon poke test error. This setup is a deviation from a standard build with a full MRW kit, Toro3D Ti tube, and Chube Air. I checked all fasteners, on the gantry, head, and z-axis. I added the modified y offset to the printer.cfg. Initial Beacon calibrate states 0.0041 sd.
Guidance is appreciated?
Thank you.

Looking through it now, see what I can find.
Run through the configurator again, just skip the flashing steps. Reboot after that, and lemme know what happens.
Ran the configurator and same problem. Looks like latency is 7 to 8, so not great, but acceptable according to Beacon docs.
I believe the poke test is failing on the average measurement check being over 6 ųm. The one I calculated was 6.08ųm with a latency of 7-8. To test I added a modified poke test eval to the printer.cfg to pass at 7 which it did, but subsequently failed further tests.
Okay, so it is a true failing, not a software hiccup. Not sure what the solution is then sorry. Was anyone able to help in #beacon-contact ?
This morning I ran the BEACON_RATOS_CALIBRATE and got a latency of 1 and made it half way through the test before reaching an error. Now getting a latency of 8 and my modified error message if “above 7”.
I’m suspicious of some resonance issues we are having in our building with regard to vibratory tumblers on the other side of the building. I can not feel the resonance with my hands, but the test first passing did happen to coincide with the tumblers being turned off at the end of the day. Although the test did pass with very low latency while they were running this morning.
Going to move the printer off the ground and onto a bench and see if that helps.
Looks you are the only one that replied to my post in that channel, so far.
oh, very interesting. Might try putting on a rubber or foam pad as well, some attempt at isolation
I don't have answers, but do try to chat with people. Sometimes ya just need a rubber duck 😄
We recently added vibration mats under the tumblers because of them causing issues with other equipment. Was looking into doing something similar to the printer as well, now that we suspect there could be a connection.
