As in a system message? or a message from open brush itself?
Looks to be a system message, OB has disappeared at this point.
oh ok. i recently increased the limits for quest on the assumption they were too conservative
seems like they aren't!
our memory warning needs to be more based in reality. i think at the moment it just assumes all imported models have a fixed ram cost.
i suspect you could import lots of simple models without a problem - and a lot fewer complex ones
Wait, to be clear, I only have one model in the scene at a time. In fact, in the 2nd and 3rd tests, I didn't even bring out the model. I only loaded the thumbnails one by one and it crashed around ~24.
This is not an issue in the release branch. I've brought lots of models in simultaneously. If there is a problem it first manifests via stuttering. I then know to clear the sketch which should free up all model memory.
The beta version is displaying different behavior.
Okay, just tested the release again. Each page has 9 models. I load the thumbnails of each only. I can get to about page 5 on the release branch, and then it crashes: Low Memory.
With Beta, it crashes on the 3rd page, at loading of thumbnails of ~ 24 models.
Having said that, if a model is not in the scene, I wonder why it should take up memory? I would rather it gets "stale" if not in "last 3 models used" and needs to be reloaded to take up memory if used later. Who knows, just thinking out loud...
