Control board flashing

Setting up my IDEX 500 and stuck on flashing the Control board. I have other printers on ratOS2.0 but this is my first time on 2.1 and getting stuck at board not detected. I have everything plugged out, The Pi is powered through the Octopus as per the doc's and a Usb C to USB A to the PI. Tried DFU to no avail and then tried SD card but it doesn't change to .cur as you'd normally expect. I have the jumper removed from the USB power on the Octopus. I'm at a loss and feel like I'm missing something here. any help appreciated.

You need the USB power jumper installed if you are using USB to power it from the Pi. Are you getting lights on the board?

I'm using the Octopus to power the PI via GPIO. UPDATE: I got it to flash via SD card my 64gb sd card wasn't formatted FAT32 once I done that it worked fine and upon reboot it could read the board. Not sure why DFU didnt work have had that work fine for me before.

Card format was my next guess. I just had the exact same issue with DFU flashing. I also needed to flash the with a card this time, but the VC4 I built 7 months ago with RatOS 2.1 flashed fine. 🤷‍♂️
