Missing Thumbnails, Loading Hang, and Failed Fetch Errors

I’m running Immich on a Raspberry Pi 4 (8GB) and I’m running into a couple of recurring issues that I can’t seem to resolve.
Setup:
- Raspberry Pi 4 (8GB)
- Images stored on Synology NAS, mounted via SMB (files are accessible), login only has reading access - No reverse proxy or external access — only used locally

Problems:
1. Thumbnails not generating
- I often get xx failed messages when generating thumbnails.
- Downloading photos works fine, so Immich does have access to the files.
- Manually refreshing thumbnails for a specific photo doesn’t work either.
- Using “Load missing thumbnails” also results in the same xx failed errors.
2. Immich sometimes stuck on logo
- Occasionally Immich hangs on the loading screen (rotating logo forever).
- The only way to fix it is restarting the container.
3. Frequent fetch errors
