Asus G14 2022 AMD: stopped swapping between dGPU and iGPU
Hi! I installed Bazzite three months ago on this all-AMD laptop, and it was awesome, everything worked from the AMD GPU image for this laptop. There's a great ROG Control Center interface for controlling some hardware features. I don't know what exactly does what, but the software automatically swapped between the lighter iGPU for lighter tasks and heavier dGPU for heavy tasks, and I was really happy about how it all worked.
Starting only two weeks ago the dGPU and iGPU stopped switching and I've since been stuck with the dGPU, having a heavy impact on battery life, the laptop got stuck to the desk since. I also had a few kernel panics at boot ups (solved by choosing another ostree in boot menu), I wonder if they're related. I also had an error after login: [FAILED] Failed to start lactd.service - GPU Control Daemon (via Flatpak)
But the error stopped showing up.
Other than the GPU being stuck to dGPU everything works.
Maybe there's an issue with some OS update or something? I'm quite a noob when it comes to Linux. Any advice for getting the GPU to swap again? Or should I just wait for an update if this is a known issue that will get fixed? Thank you for your attention!
