Install problems

Windows user first time using Linux. I am installing Bazzite on a separate SSD. I am not a "technical" user. Know the on/off switch and the reset switch and it's worked for 30 years πŸ™‚

Bazzite:
First: "Boot normal" did not boot at all. Gave some incomprehensible error.
Next: "Grub boot" (don't know what that means) booted and installed but it did something to the BIOS. I had to power off and restart to reach the BIOS. Bazzite restart did not give BIOS boot options menu and substituted it for its own boot options (or something).

I unplugged the drive and rebooted into Windows, cleaned the SSD, rebooted from the USB stick again to reinstall, and got the error in attached image.

This whole "try Linux" is involving too much hit and trial πŸ™

So far my experience:
Ubuntu installer failed.
CachyOS has a problem with 4K displays.
Garuda has a problem with its interface.
Bazzite described here.

The one time Bazzite did run, the performance and interface both were great. If it had not messed around with the boot loader none of this would have followed. The whole reason for installing on a separate SSD was to get a separate Linux UEFI and select whatever was needed at boot time.

If someone from Bazzite is listening, please change "restart" button behavior to actually do a motherboard boot and not hijack it. If "restart" means having to go through Bazzite provided boot options only then that is just Windows level unacceptable "you are mine now". I haven't touched the main power plug in years. This won't do. Also when choosing the hard disk (or whatever) just give an option to remove all partitions and start from a blank media. On booting into Windows it showed 3 partitions but in the Bazzite install (before the attached error) it was showing 6 entries in some alien language. WTH?

Sunday is my gaming day and for the last three weeks I have been trying to board the "Try Linux Express."

They throw me out just as I am about to take a seat.

Help.

And also thank you.
