Can Sonar be installed?
It seems that Sonar breaks the RatOS configurator, analisys and VAOC services. Ratos doctor doesn't fix. They un-break only if it is uninstalled (deep-purged actually). I am reading that they disabled it in an old alpha because "it breaks the hotspot" (but it's breaking the configurator?). It did work in solving my wifi disconnection problems, but having no VAOC is a bigger problem. Has anyone managed to make it work?

Well this explains why my configurator broke lol. I had sonar working for months, only stopped working over the past few weeks
This isn't a solution, just adding my expereince in case it helps to find a solution.
I reflashed my firmware last week to try and bring back the configurator. Immediately after reflash, before running thorugh the built in update procedure, configurator worked. After doing the update process, the configurator update failed with an "npm warn" error iirc, and then configurator stopped working.
That was all before I had sonar installed, so they might not actually be related. I do get the exact same behavior you do though from my configurator.
I'll be re-flashing my firmware again probably on thursday and try and nail down specifcs so we can maybe find a solution. Losing connection to the printer every 30 minutes and requiring a restart sucks lol
I've been losing connection for 2 years and tried: putting a hotspot 2 meters off the printer in the same room, using a usb dongle on the roof, removed fan setup on the Pi, playing with every wifi setting imaginable but it keept dropping. Some 10 other devices in the house never disconnect. I have suspicion that it is electric noise by the motors at a particular frequency that makes it drop the line, but that's it. I had a few long printing nights with sonar and I found mainsail responding in the morning. Not only it pings the router, but its value is in the reconnection function: if it loses it it restarts the wifi, that as I understand the various klipper Pi Os's don't do. I use ethernet now but its annoying as there are cables on the floor, sooner or later I trip.
Definitely real on all accounts. Good thoughts on the causes…
Sonar has been a godsend for me as well, it just… works. Tbh, having it at the expense of not having the configurator may be worth it. I don’t have IDEX tho, so it’s a bit different for me
