Question about updates.
Does distant horizons prevent chucks that from ever changing due to a future minecraft update?

Not sure what you mean. Like DH prevents a chunk from changing when you update minecraft and join the same world?
Like when DH generates a LOD of a chunk does it mean that if minecraft ever updates and adds like a new biome, does that chunk count as a chunk that can be updated and possibly generate that new biome
If the chunk has been generated by the server already then the LOD will only change when you build or destroy something in that chunk.
If only the LOD of that chunk has been generated(e.g. when you have pregenerated LODs with the
Features (default) generator), then it will be able to update and represent the possibly new biome.Depends if vanilla chunks for that LOD exists or not
!generators
- FEATURES: Complete generation of all LODs with mostly correct structures and trees. Does not save vanilla chunks, and is much faster than FULL unless C2ME is installed.
- FULL: Generates and saves both DH LODs and vanilla chunks, has 100% correct LODs, because it also saves vanilla chunks it takes the most amount of drive space. Generation speed will suck unless C2ME is installed.
- PRE-EXISTING: Generates LODs for all existing vanilla chunks.
