Does distant horizons delete lod chunks when I save and quit my world?
I let minecraft run overnight, and when I checked on it in the morning I could see really far. I clicked save and quit and opened the world later in the day. When I checked on it, it said DH was loading 300,000 chunks and it looked like all the lod chunks dissapeared. Am I missing something?

No, its just loading them from your disk
It saves them in a local database
so does it load faster when loading them from my disk?
yes ofc
a lot faster
also does turning on/off shaders or changing shaders make DH reload all the chunks from scratch or it just loads them from my disk?
always from disk
it would make no sense for them to be recreated from scratch
