Dumb guy asking slip on vans sizing question

I’ve been out of the slip on vans game since they changed their sizing up a ton (so like 8 years ago). I got some new ones recently, and unlike other vans I’ve tried, these are leather. There’s a lot of conflicting info about how these should fit online, but some say they should be really tight out of the box, but this might be only for their canvas shoes? I find these to not be super tight, and there’s minimal heel slip if any when walking. I attached a picture of where my big toe ends if that helps. Sorry this is an annoying question but I have fit anxiety esp with shoes.

Hi @max! For better answers, include: - Reference pictures - Budget in numbers - Specific measurements - Openness to buying secondhand and/or online - Location: country/continent is fine - Timing/urgency

Sneakers can fit closer than "traditional" leather shoes because of their construction A rule of thumb is the widest part of your foot should line up with the widest part of the shoe Forefoot area At the same time you need to balance it out with the fact a bit of heel sleep with laceless / slip ons is normal
