Sharing Album Sync

When I share an album like "Camera" in Immich that is also set to automatically back up photos, it seems that new photos no longer get added automatically to that shared album. Is this the expected behavior? In other words, once the album is shared and has automatic backup enabled, do new images stop syncing automatically into that album?
