Good Wordle starting word, better fabric? Or maybe not - talk all about linen here. How well does it compare to other fabrics in warmth, breathability, skin feel, and maintenance? Any major downsides to wearing it? If you're a fan, do you have any favorite items or fits featuring linen?

Everyone knows the usual crisp light linen but linen in heavier weights is so good. I have a suit in a really heavy linen canvas, and a jacket in a heavy knit and they are two of my favourite garments. The drape is crazy.
Was going to make the same comment about heavier linen
This shirt is in a thicker linen, but still maintains a gauzy quality, and it’s one of my favorites
I think I’ll go against what may be the prevailing wisdom here and say that I don’t really love wrinkles in linen pants

the heavier linens work better for pants

I had a linen cotton t-shirt from Qlo ages back which got holes in it eventually. God that was a good t shirt
What bothers me is that they can mess with the psi sometimes too
Imo cheap thin linen + bit of poly or cotton is an ok compromise

I don‘t do too well with linen shirts actually bc my top being wrinkled makes me crash out for some reason
wool linen blends work really well to give some more texture/warmth while still being wearable in warmer weather. it's great for transitional seasons
Love linen for the warmer weather. My inis meain linen tunic is great for cooler summer evenings. Wool/linen blends are also great if you're not a fan of wrinkles.

Yep. MotivMfg peak lapel jacket and messers trousers in linen canvas. Picked it up in Kentaurus in Cologne. They have a few of the same in slightly lighter linens in stock iirc.
Yeah, I couldn’t tell how heavy. I’m going to France later this year and might try and test drive one.
