Dolphin Emulator instant crash
NOTE: mostly a crosspost with the Dolphin Emulator Discord, whom generally had no ideas on solutions, it seems. in the interim, I've tried cachyos and dolphin seems to function fine there. that distro does not detect or support my Steam Controller, though, so I'd prefer to use bazzite
hi, trying to get Dolphin working in Bazzite.
i originally installed via emudeck to launch via ES-DE but i've resorted to using basic flatpak cli commands to install, remove, reset, and reinstall dolphin a number of times. here is what happens:
the same thing occurs if I run it via ES-DE.
SOMETIMES, very rarely, it does open the UI, and I am able to boot into a game (I'm using my dumped Kirby Air Ride, which functions properly on other Dolphin installs), but the only time I was able to get this install to boot the game it hung when creating the save data. then segfaulted on startup after that. not sure if that's relevant.
i have also used the unofficial appimage with and without the var QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb to no success. i won't go much more into that because unofficial but yeah it happens on that too.
