Cannot place folder in /lib/firmware to fix monitor issue.
This is a linux-specific problem for my monitor and I DO have the edid to fix this issue but the main issue lies in the fact I can't create a folder in /lib/firmware.
The folder i am trying to create is "edid" which is needed unless you can specify to look elsewhere for my monitors EDID. This isn't a problem for other linux distros because they allow you to place files wherever as long as you're the administrator / root, but in this case it just wont place the file. any fixes? This is the first time I've tried bazzite linux on my main computer.

Solution
try adding usr/lib/extension-release.d/extension-release.NAME to the extension
