How do I set up hibernation correctly?

I’m trying to set up my computer to hibernate. I followed the steps mentioned here in the documentation https://docs.bazzite.gg/Advanced/swapfile/, but when I run the command systemctl hibernate -i, after turning the computer back on, it doesn’t resume from where I left off—it’s as if I had completely shut it down.
Is there any step I might have skipped or something else that still needs to be done?
