how do I set up a network share?
my college linux classes are far behind me and never really covered atomic distros in the first place. I am a first time linux daily driver and am trying desperately to make bazzite work because so far it's been the closest to being able to fulfilling my gaming, and content creation needs. I am now to the point where I would like to start transfering data from my windows 11 box to my bazzite box. I would like to set up shares on the bazzite box instead of the far easier windows because there is also a NAS I need to pull data from but a very poorly configured one that exists on a point-to-point ethernet link with windows which I no longer have credentials to get into to make work on bazzite. that's a personal/professional failing of mine that I've made my peace with I can wipe it when the data is off it and start again from scratch.
but in the mean time I am extremely out of practice with linux and from what I can tell, none of my linux training ever covered the majority of stuff that personal distro users tend to take for granted so breaking things down barney style is appreciated.
TLDR, I need to set up shares on Bazzite to be accessed from a windows box on the network, overly permissive does not bother me so long as I can disable the share or lock it down once the data's on the share.
if it helps these shares are all to secondary drives, and are primarily recorded video footage, pictures, music clips, etc. about 10 TB in total so USB drives as go betweens are a bit too time consuming to be a viable option.
