Fixing or removing the sleep button in the steam gaming mode power menu

I was having a lot of problems when my computer woke up from sleep. So my very helpful friend gave me this command to run: sudo systemctl mask sleep.target suspend.target hibernate.target hybrid-sleep.target I guess what it has done is removed sleeping altogether, the computer doesn't sleep anymore when idle, and in desktop mode the sleep/hibernate button was removed, which is fine because it was causing problems. But I notice there is still a sleep button in the steam big picture gaming mode (Settings-->Power-->Sleep) just not in desktop mode. If I select the sleep option in the gaming mode menu, the gaming mode interface goes black, and I get a black screen with a mouse I can move around. The computer doesn't go to sleep but it's like it gets stuck trying to sleep. And nothing I press resumes from it, I am basically stuck there forever until I force power off the computer. I'm wondering if there is a way to remove the sleep option from the power menu. I know I could just avoid pressing it, but it bothers me that there's just a button that causes everything to break, since everything else works really well
