What warm jackets are good for winter besides ski jackets?

What do you normally wear in winter?

I'm looking for outwear that is:

• warm
• not overly formal but looks good over button ups
• not overly casual/workwear but looks good over t shirt

Any suggestions for brands to look into? Pic one is something that looks warm to me but I don't know what it is. Second pic is a coat I recently thrifted but I'm not sure how warm it will be.
