rpm-ostree rebase hangs during image download

I just upgraded to the latest bazzite-deck-nvidia:stable to see if the new 580 nvidia drivers would be solving stuff. Now nothing works so I tried rebasing to bazzite-deck:stable to see if it came from the nvidia drivers and for sure it did but now other stuff is breaking. So now to get back to my working setup, I need to rebase to my previous-previous version. So I ran brh rebase bazzite-deck-nvidia:stable-42.20250828.1 but it never completes. It feels like the download starts a the usual speed (100Mb/s) and slowly gets to zero after a few chunks have been downloaded. Changing image does not work, yesterday, downloading the new stable took a few tens of seconds but now I am a few hours into this mess but nothing moves. The logs I have:

I can't seem to find actionable posts on the internet over this. Only information about how it is not multi-threaded but it worked pretty well on my working setup from 42.20250828.1. Running rpm-ostree reset did not change anything. Running manually a podman pulls completes in a few seconds. My pc is not under heavy load from something else. Any help would be appreciated. rollbacking between the two setup that are not working also feels really really slow. Is there I flag I can't find that would get me more debug info? Thanks in advance. What I tried without success: * running rpm-ostree reset * switching to unverified images
