Ping spikes that are only happening in Valorant

Even though I don't get ping spikes in other games, every minute or so my ping will spike to 200-400 ms, lasting about 5 seconds before returning to normal (16-40 ms). This has been an issue across different internet providers and locations, so I find it unlikely that this is the issue. I have tried following several guides on YouTube, though I haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone possibly had any solutions for this problem. Thanks in advance.

I am playing from Wisconsin and on U.S servers. I play on wifi and have been facing this issue since August of 2024 on console but the issue persisted even when I changed to pc in August of 2025

Do you see 3 hops on the first trace, that’s your connection to your router And those should be less than 1 Ahh See the first trace it’s spiking 11 2 11 Unless your connection to your router isn’t stable, you’ll get ping spikes like that in game
