how much ram should i allocate to minecraft if i have 16gb of ram
idk how much would be too much for mc
like 6-8 GB
do you think my friend with a potato pc can use dh

not sure but i think it has 8gb of ram, maybe an i5 11th gen with integrated graphics
maybe older
not sure

no dedicated gpu yes
thats gonna be difficult
yea he usually has his render dist at like 8
is there any way to change dh render distance
what should i put the lod at
!config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
whatever you like and doesn't kill your fps
higher=better right
which one
quality or distance
lod
which one
huh?
there is lod distance and lod quality
isnt there only one that shows up when you open the settings
this is both for lod

the number one
set that to however far you want to see
usually for playing I just do 256
and its probably plenty for wynncraft
wait what now

its just stuck on this
check if the log is saying anything
or check task manager if its still downloading
wheres the log
my disk isnt being used so idk if anything downloading
!logs
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.i mean i have no clue if anything worked

i did status thing
says i downloaded it
but the render is just like
not
so like
no clue
so not solved
not sure how the mod works, I don't play wynncraft
Try checking if there is a LOD file in the correct place

All dimensions in one file: SERVER_FOLDER/plugins/DHSupport/data.sqlite
NOTE:
Sometimes there might be 2 additional files next to the main one with extensions .sqlite-wal
and .sqlite-shm
If there are, all 3 should be treated as a single file, a.k.a. moved, deleted, backed-up always together!
If you don't, the database will become corrupted.wait do i need to download db browser
sqlite browser
no lol
just check if its in the location for the server
!clients
Hacked clients, PVP clients, optimization clients, etc. are problematic for multiple reasons, particularly when it comes to mod compatibility. You may run into issues like rendering glitches or crashes due to their built-in modifications to Minecraft. They are unsupported by Distant Horizons and are not recommended. Instead, we recommend using a launcher that does not modify Minecraft itself, such as Prism Launcher, Modrinth App, or even the vanilla launcher from Mojang. You can read more about good and bad launchers at Sodium's Github.

A Minecraft mod designed to improve frame rates and reduce micro-stutter - CaffeineMC/sodium
i use lunar
Still counts, its a pvp/optimization client
Try with a normal mc fabric install
how do i check this
.
There should be a folder with the ip in the location for multiplayer
do you think joining the same server with a different ip (for example lunar.wynncraft.com rather than play.wynncraft.com) could mess with stuff?

alr
i might have connected with lunar.wynncraft.com maybe thats why
ITS WORKING NOW LETS GOOO

wa
huh

uhh
what is going on
seems like its working now nvm
i lied

(using complementaryy shaders)
oh ok
i think i get it
whenever i alt tab
that weird stuff happens
so i have to disconnect and rejoin the server
and if i dont want it to do that weird stuff i just have to not play in f11 (fullscreen)
ok i got everything figured out
