5 questions about 4K TV, laptop battery and passwords
Hey! I'm slowly moving my computers from windows to bazzite after some experience with kinoite. I've encountered several issues but I'm not quite sure which part of the distro they are related to (DE, Fedora, ublue) or if they are known/worked on. Can you help me sort them out so I can report them if needed? Thanks!
1. I've got a bazzite install hooked up to my 4k tv but by default the scaling is nonexistent which makes both install, login and looking for the scaling menu a complete pain. Got that on both gnome and kde. Is there an auto scaling default in the works? Is it possible to set scaling globally per display?
2. For my tv, I usually use a passwordless account. I managed to set one up at install but then kde doesn't let me create new accounts with empty passwords or edit an existing one for a blank password. Is there a bypass for that?
3. When accessing my nas, kde always shows a password prompt. It's always prefilled so it's just useless friction of clicking ok. If i remember correctly, that wasn't the default behavior on kinoite (it stored the id and didn't prompt anything), is that a bazzite specific behavior? How do i turn it off?
4. Now onto the laptop weirdness. When plugged to the wall, it still behaves like it was on battery. The battery manager shows a message stating that the charger does not deliver enough power. However, the battery stays at full charge and never drops when plugged, same as on windows. I guess it's not an hardware issue, but how can I check? Is that a known error that will get a fix, and what should I do fix energy management behavior?
5. Where should I submit user feedback abour bazzite's gnome and kde default settings? I encountered one accessibility issue on gnome (a default extension re-enabling animations after I disabled them (can be reproduced by disabling animations then disabling/reenabling all extensions) and a few minor inconveniences that I'd like to report.
