Consistent packet loss only experienced on valorant
as the title suggests im experiencing consistent packet loss that takes place every 3-5 seconds ping is good overall the entire with an average of 20ish ms but for some reason every 5 seconds ill get slight packet loss that'll cause me to rubber band

completely predictable too happens every 5 seconds on the dot ive noticed something similar on CS2 aswell but games such as rust, minecraft, helldivers, etc i dont experience this issue

What server do you play on?
Where are you playing from?
Are you playing using wifi or eth?
And since when are facing this issue?
sure, I play on Na est virginia servers, I play from New Jersey, i use wifi, ive been facing this issue for atleast a month now (august 25th onwards)
super strange that im only experiencing this on valorant and cs2 having difficulty troubleshooting the issue for that reason
Try switching to Ethernet, fixes packet loss issues most of the time:val_SusgeNoted:
Anyways open cmd and type;
Tracert 192.207.0.0
And show ss of the whole trace
Also do this after the traceroute and show ss of the end result:
Ping 192.207.0.0 -n 100

id have to like run an ethernet cable up my staircase for that to work 😭 and im moving soon so i cant really say for certain if running it through the walls is an option but if the problem persists ill look into it
guess its possible it could be my wifi adapter which i could try replacing

@Rob if you have the same issue on CS2 that sounds like your internet connection, did you try contacting your ISP to get it checked ?
try rebooting your router and play some more games of CS2 and VAL to see if its the same
Also intermittent packetloss, playing on wifi is your biggest problem most likely
run a ethernet and play some games, dont forget to disable your wifi when you do that
I can try that now, didn’t go that far because I thought it was something else
Isn’t that kinda weird its only happening on 2 games while the rest behave normally?
Possibly I just don’t know why the packet loss would be occurring in a pattern
I am not exaggerating when I say it’s predictable it’s literally every 5 seconds
