how do i get path difference i took angle of incidence of wave to be theta so dist travelled by one waves is (a+x)sectheta hypotenuse the triangle i have marked in the figure gives dist by the other wave ((a-x)^2+D^2)^1/2 after approximation it becomes D (?) also D = (a+x) tantheta so delta = (a+x)(sec-tan) i dont have more info about sec and tan tho so how can i proceed
