Adapting a custom system
So, I've got an admittedly rather jank and barebones homebrew D20 system I've been using for the last decade or so in my group's TTRPG games, but it's stuck in Roll20.
I only got THE most rudimentary form of HTML knowledge. In fact I made the entire thing by editing a free template a few years ago, since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing. But now I've been considering figuring out how to go about moving it from R20 to Foundry.
Obviously need to hire someone to do it since I can't do it myself.
Problem is I have no idea how much this would cost, as I'm very new to the idea of commissioning stuff like this. I got the HTML and CSS for the thing on hand and can explain the other parts that are currently done manually thanks to a lack of coding knowledge.
For now, I'm more looking around to get a general price idea, and how much of a workload it'd be. It's not a very complex system, but there are a few parts I'd like to automate.
Making this post off of the commissions tab as I'm not actively looking for the commission yet. This is more of a budgeting step so I have a savings goal, if that makes sense!

Hello, if you check the pinned post in the commission channel, you will find some reference.
I am linking the pricing guide to be easier.
Given that you are saying that you can take care of the HTML and CSS, there is a chance the price would be lower, as the developer would not have to do that part. But it will require that you and the developer to align on how to work together, so they can prepare the "backend" part while you connect the dots on your HTML and CSS.
Alright. The pricing guide is a tad broad, but I guess it at least gives me a general idea to aim for
Thank you for the response!
No worries.
Keep in mind that the price variance will be related to basically two things:
- How well experienced is the person
- How much hours they believe they need to develop your project.
And please, be careful, because as soon as you put the comission, you will get a lot of messages from possible scammers
